Text Box: For the Traditional Pre-Christian cultures of Northern Europe, the Spring season was one of the most important seasonal tides of the year. Called Eostremonath by the Anglo-Saxons, Ostara by the early Germans, and Vártið in Scandinavia, this was the time to honor the Dawn, and bless the rejuvenating power of the earth in the spring of the new year. It was a time to hail all the Old Gods and Goddesses in common as providers of order and balance after the chaotic wintertide, a time for oaths to be made and witnessed, a time to renew commitments, make transformative changes, and draw holy power from rebirth of nature and the might of the new dawning Sun.

Come join Blåkulla Hall, regional hall of the Rune-Gild in Los Angeles, for a traditional Spring Gathering and offering rite. With tools and techniques drawn from Germanic myth and folk custom, from sacred story and dramatic ritual, we come together to Hail the Dawning Sun within, and seek the mysteries of the season for individual and communal renewal, restoration, and recommitment.
This ritual is open to all with a serious interest
 in the Northern Mysteries.

Blåkulla Hall was founded in 2006 c.e. to address the growing need for an active Rune-Gild presence in Southern California.  In light of the ever-increasing interest in Traditional forms of Northern European magic and pre-Christian religion, our organization seeks to ensure that this thirst for authentic knowledge of the Northern Mysteries be answered with the best of esoteric and academic resources.

We offer ongoing instruction in Esoteric Rune Work, as well as specialized intensive workshops and seminars dedicated to specific aspects of the Northern Renaissance and traditional Germanic Magic and Religion.  Some of these classes and events are open to the public, and serve as a way to introduce the world at large to the ways and work of the Rune-Gild.

Blåkulla Hall is dedicated to the promotion of authentic traditional Germanic religious and mystical practice untainted by racism, prejudice, or hatred.
